Duties & Powers of CAGI :
●CAGI Audits the accounts related to all expenditure from the Contingency & Consolidated Fund of India (CFI ) , CFS & CF of UT
●Public Account of India
●Contingency fund of each state
● Trading & Balance sheets
●Government companies & Other corporations and bodies
●Related to debt, sinking funds, deposits, advances, suspense accounts and remittance business.
●Audit of local bodies when requested by President or governor
● He Ascertains and certifies the net proceeds of any tax or
duty (Article 279) with his final decision
